THE NEED
To increase therapeutic options for aggressive childhood cancers with low survival rates THE ORGANIZATION Solving Kids' Cancer (SKC) is a non-profit organization that focuses on finding, funding, and advocating for breakthrough treatments to cure some of the more fatal childhood cancers WHAT WE DID (1) Provided strategic counseling on strategy design, organizational positioning, health communication planning, and medical/scientific professional relations (2) Contributed to the design and development of SKC’s signature Therapeutic Development Initiative (TDI) for pediatric cancer research (3) Recruited advisory board members and facilitated strategic meetings of the multidisciplinary research consortium and advisory board of the TDI (4) Served as Senior Strategic Advisor (R. Schiavo) to the organization’s Board of Directors |
