THE NEED
To engage local and international stakeholders in the design and implementation of an evaluation plan for a national initiative aiming to addressing chronic malnutrition among children, pregnant women and lactating mothers in Rwanda

THE ORGANIZATIONS
UNICEF-Rwanda works to promote the rights of children in Rwanda. 
The Rwanda Ministry of Health's overall goal is to contribute to the reduction of poverty and enhance the general well-being of Rwanda's population.

​WHAT WE DID
(1) Conducted an assessment of the monitoring and evaluation system for health promotion interventions in Rwanda

(2) Worked with national and regional officers from UNICEF and the Rwanda Ministry of Health and their local and international partners to develop a consensus-driven and participatory framework for the evaluation of the 1000 Days in the Land of 1000 Hills national initiative to eliminate chronic malnutrition among children and pregnant women. Provided training on research and evaluation topics.
